March Bites

march bites… flowers

Autumn is my favourite time to live in Sydney. The nights are starting to get cooler now, but we are still enjoying beautiful warm days. The last summer stone fruits sits alongside new season apples and pears. This month I wrapped up several design projects, booked a trip to Penang in October, worked hard and played hard. It’s hard to believe that Easter is just around the corner! I’m looking forward to indulging in some chocolate over the long weekend.

march bites… beach

Queens Beach looking perfect. I love this photo, the water is my favourite shade of turquoise.

march bites… doughnuts

Some days just require doughnuts. You know how it is! A Krispy Kreme is okay, but ever since trying Doughnut Plant in New York, I love a really well made cake doughnut in a funky flavour combination. I’m so glad that Sydney has a slew of gourmet doughnuts popping up like Glazed Doughnuts.

march bites… markets

This has to be my favourite market snap of the month. Love all the bright colours!

march bites… bondi

I spent a lot of time in Bondi this month between meetings, errands and lunches. This street mural in North Bondi always makes me smile.

march bites… the rook

The Deep Fried Mars Bar at The Rook is insane in a very good way.

march bites… sundowners

What is better than a sundowner by the beach? After I shot the photos, we took our Passionfruit and Kaffir Lime Lemonade down to the beach for a sunset drink. And then had to scurry home before a big electrical storm hit!

march bites… bowery lane

A lunch meeting at Bowery Lane turned out to be pretty delicious! Mmm New York Cheeseburger.
march bites… boa

Baos are popping up everywhere at the moment but my favourite so far is this Crackling Pork Belly Bao from Mr Bao Buns at Bondi Markets. The coriander was so fresh and the crackling was utterly perfect, such a great snack for market roaming.

march bites… portfolio

I also took a trip down memory lane looking through old design work and updating my portfolio!
